On the bus heading to DFW. Brazil here we come!!!!! Almost did not make it because family members were hungry and had to stop at Subway. Of course the whole world is against me so the cashier was the worst, she got the order wrong; although it was repeated twice, over charge, and then got mad when we corrected her. Love the sibs for driving 3hr to drop me off in Waco.

First of many group pictures. Luckily everybody dresses for the 16+ hr trip to Brazil. Even without make-up we look good. Note there are only two boys and 10 girls ( Chelsea is missing), they are so lucky.
DFW was not bad. Check in took a while because we had to separate and assign all the bags and they got mad because we were taking up a lot of room. I was able to plug in my frequent flier miles code and received 5,000 miles. we all went through security with no problem but our teachers took too long and had to wait in line.
The first thing our professor told us when we arrived at the airport was " from now until the end of the program you pay for nothing". I had a very nice, would never pay for myself, Mexican meal with pink lemonade. I didn't pick the location, but I got the first glimpse on how hard it was going to be picking a place to eat with 12 other people.
I'm smiling because I was able to change my seat and get three seat in the back all to myself!!! I was able to lay down and sleep in the 10 hr flight. The meal was an airplane meal enough said and the movie was journey to something with The Rock, not bad. Day 1 complete
